THE STORY

BEHIND

We spent many hours talking with co-drivers about their needs and preferences, before we created the first prototypes of the BP NOTE pacenote book. Than we gave our co-drivers these first prototypes and listen carefully to their feedback. Based on this, we made adjustments and improvements and tested again and again...

That is how the BP NOTE  pacenote book was created.

Maybe you guess what does BP NOTE actually mean? Simply the "Best Pace Note".

Scroll down and discover more about BP NOTE!

#1 Hard front and back covers

The BP NOTE pacenote book is provided with extra hard front and back covers, which not only protect the pacenote book content, but also bring another significant benefit. By turning the front cover over towards the back cover, the back cover becomes twice as thick, which provides excellent support for comfortable writing and all necessary changes of the pacenotes during reconnaissance.

#2 Bookmarks for fast turning to special stages

A possibility of fast turning to the individual SS can be crucial in certain situations. Therefore, the BP NOTE comes with a concept of bookmarks, which are designated for placing at the beginning of the notes for each special stage. The bookmarks not only enable fast browsing between the individual SS, but they also provide a space for writing down the basic data about the given SS, times achieved in the SS and other notes. The bookmarks are made of high grammage paper and they are also protected by the pacenote book covers. Placing the bookmarks at the beginning of the notes for the individual SS takes a few moments thanks to easy dismantling of the binding.

#3 Metal binding for easy dismantling

The BP NOTE pacenote book binding is provided with a strong metal spiral enabling easy dismantling and putting together. Thus, the inside content of the pacenote book can be arranged in the form, which will maximally suit any co-driver. In a moment the order of the notes of special stages can be changed, the pacenotes for special stages for a given leg can be left only, blank sheets can be taken out etc. A great attention has also been paid to sufficient dimensions of the spiral diameter for trouble-free turning of the pages.

#4 Specially designed layout of inside pages

Inside pages of the BP NOTE pacenote book are designed in such way to satisfy different ways of making notes. There is a space for writing down a number or name of the given special stage as well as a space for numbering the individual pages in the header of each page. The own layout of the page is made of thirty lines, which are numbered at the spine to provide easier orientation. The light grey colour of the lines has been chosen so that the lines would help when making notes but would not disturb when reading the notes.

#5 Bespoke page layout of inside pages

Besides the default BP NOTE page layout, one of bespoke layouts with custom number of the page lines can be chosen. The page layouts with 3 to 10 lines are available (see the picture). As well as the default page layout, also bespoke page layouts include a space for writing down a number or name of the given special stage and a space for numbering the individual pages in the header of each page. All lines are numbered at the spine to provide easier orientation.

#6 Rubber band for securing covers against opening

The BP NOTE pacenote book covers can be secured against unwanted opening by means of a rubber band, which is a part of the back cover. Fastening of the covers reduces the risk of damage of the inside pages during transport and handling.

#7 Transparent foil on the front cover

The front cover of the BP NOTE pacenote book is provided with a transparent foil which protects the data written down on the front cover and in combination with the hard front and back covers it further provides better protection of the inside content of the pacenote book.

#8 Table for writing down and comparing the stage times

On the back side of the front cover there is a table for writing down the times achieved in the individual special stages. Besides the own times, the times of three competitors can also be written down. The table layout also enables a fast calculation of the difference between the time achieved by the crew and the times achieved by competitors in the given special stage and overall.
